Braking resistor 400Вт

1,500

The braking resistor is designed to dissipate excess energy that occurs during regeneration modes of an asynchronous electric motor.
Characteristics: 400 W.

Description

Why is a braking resistor needed? During operation of an electric drive with a frequency converter, operating modes of an asynchronous electric motor in recuperation mode may occur.
In this mode, mechanical energy on the motor shaft (dynamic braking of a massive mechanism or forced rotation of the electric motor shaft by the working element) is transformed into electrical energy and flows into the DC link of the converter, thereby causing an increase in voltage.
The inverter independently prevents the occurrence of emergency overvoltage by dissipating excess energy into a braking resistor.
Thus, the use of a braking resistor with a frequency converter will allow achieving acceptable dynamic performance of the electric drive as a whole.
